Terms of Use
Last updated: October 15, 2026
1. The agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and Specialized Solutions LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company doing business as Among (“Among,” “we,” “us”). They cover Among’s websites, apps, and related services. By creating an account, or by viewing anything on Among, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Who can use Among
- You must be at least 18 to create an account, and able to form a binding contract.
- You may not use Among if we have previously banned you, or if the law where you live prohibits it.
- If you use Among for an organization, you agree to these Terms on its behalf and confirm you have authority to do so.
3. Accounts and access
- Authors post content and choose who can view it. Members are the people an author shares with. One account can be both.
- Keep your sign-in details secure and your account information accurate. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
- Private links. Some content can be viewed by anyone holding a private link an author sends. Don’t share links meant for you. If you think one has been exposed, tell the author or contact us.
- Tell us right away at support@among.blog if you suspect someone has accessed your account without permission.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid features. Some features, including publishing as an author, require a paid subscription. Prices, billing periods, and any free trial are shown before you subscribe.
- Free trials. If your subscription starts with a free trial, you’ll be charged when the trial ends, or sooner if you choose to start your plan early, unless you cancel before then. Each account can use one free trial.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods and unused time, except where the law requires otherwise. If you’re in the EU or UK, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of buying, and nothing here limits it.
- Price changes. We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before a price change applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Payments are handled by our payment processor under its own terms. You authorize us to charge your payment method for each billing period. Prices may not include taxes, which we add where required.
- Usage limits. Plans include fair-use limits on things such as photos, video, and members, and free trials have lower ones. If you reach a limit, we may decline the action that would go over it. We may change limits over time.
- Complimentary access. We may offer free or promotional access, for example through a code. It lasts for the period we tell you, has no cash value, and we may end it at any time.
- Unpaid or ended subscriptions. If a payment fails or your subscription ends, we may limit or suspend paid features, which may include your ability to publish and, after a grace period, other people’s access to your content. If your subscription stays ended for an extended period, we may delete your content. We’ll email you before we do, and resubscribing before then keeps everything.
5. Your content
- You own it. What you create on Among stays yours.
- What you let us do. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, and display your content, only to run Among and show it to the people you choose. This includes making versions needed to store and display it, such as resized images or processed video.
- When the license ends. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept for a limited time as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You’re responsible for it. You confirm you have the rights to everything you post, including permission from people who appear in it where the law requires.
- Keep your own copies. Among is not a backup service. Keep originals of anything you can’t afford to lose.
6. Inviting people
When you invite someone, you give us their contact details and ask us to message them for you. You confirm that you know the person, that you have a reasonable basis to believe they want to hear from you, and, for text messages, that they have agreed to receive them. Don’t use invitations for spam, marketing, or to contact people you don’t know. We may limit invitations from an account that draws complaints.
7. Acceptable use
Among is private, but private isn’t lawless. Don’t use Among to post, share, or do any of the following:
- sexual content involving anyone under 18, which we remove and report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children;
- intimate images of anyone shared without their consent;
- harassment, threats, or content that promotes violence against a person or group;
- content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;
- anything illegal, or that facilitates illegal activity;
- spam, malware, or phishing;
- attempts to get around Among’s security or access controls, or to view content you weren’t given access to;
- scraping, automated access, or overloading our systems, except through features we provide;
- copying, reverse engineering, or reselling Among itself;
- impersonating someone, or misleading people about who you are.
To report content or behavior, email support@among.blog. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules.
8. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Among infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act: Specialized Solutions LLC, 1275 Edgewood Dr, East Earl, PA 17519, USA, support@among.blog. Include your contact details, the work, where the content appears, a good-faith statement, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you’re authorized to act, and your signature. We remove infringing content and end the accounts of repeat infringers.
9. The service
- Changes. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we remove a core feature you pay for, we’ll tell you in advance.
- Availability. We work to keep Among running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
- Privacy controls have limits. Our controls decide who can open your content on Among. They can’t stop someone you’ve shared with from copying, downloading, or forwarding what they see.
- Third-party services. Some features, such as third-party sign-in and payments, rely on other companies, whose terms also apply when you use them.
10. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using Among at any time, cancel your subscription, and ask us to delete your account.
- Authors can remove a member’s access to their content at any time.
- We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if your use creates risk or harm for others. Where reasonable, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first. Suspending an author also pauses others’ access to their content.
- If we close Among, we’ll give reasonable advance notice and refund prepaid fees for any time after closing.
- When an account ends, its content is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Terms that by their nature should continue, such as those on content, disclaimers, liability, and disputes, continue to apply.
11. Disclaimers
AMONG IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T PROMISE THAT AMONG WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONTENT WILL NEVER BE LOST.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS:
- WE AREN’T LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL;
- WE AREN’T LIABLE FOR WHAT OTHER USERS DO WITH CONTENT YOU SHARE WITH THEM;
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $50.
These limits don’t apply to liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you’re a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protections your local law gives you.
13. Indemnity
If a claim is brought against us because of content you posted, people you invited, or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses, including legal fees. This section doesn’t apply to consumers where local law doesn’t allow it.
14. Governing law and disputes
- Pennsylvania law governs these Terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
- Please contact us first at support@among.blog. Most problems can be solved that way.
- Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead.
- If you’re a consumer in the EU or UK, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of your local consumer law.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We’ll change the date at the top and give account holders reasonable advance notice of material changes, such as by email. If you keep using Among after changes take effect, the new Terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before they take effect.
16. General
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Among.
- If part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.
- You can’t transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- We may send you notices by email to your account’s address or within Among.
- Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events outside reasonable control.
